Why? - A rationale for birthing new churches   

 To reach the lost.  Decades of research has shown that starting new churches is the most effective means of evangelism. ( Mission )

To saturate our city with life-giving churches.  Giving birth to new churches is Biblical and they are often marked by their vitality and mission focus. (Influence)

To have a Kingdom focus.  Church history highlights how God has expanded His Kingdom across the world through the birthing of new churches. (Impact) 

To reproduce churches with our genetic code. (Birthing & Nurturing)  

To release people with gifts & calling.  New churches provide a natural environment for seekers and new Christians to be involved in church life.  It also causes new leaders to surface and develop. (Opportunities)  

To increase contact with existing churches.  The presence of a network of life-giving churches creates further opportunity for churches to work together to reach our city.  Each church in the network will be encouraged to work in unity with other churches in their suburb, region, and city. (Unity)  

To give a greater possibility for diversity.  While having the same genetic code, each church will have it's own flavour.  This will create different ministries that enable us to reach a broader range of people. (Relevance)
