The following are testimonies received following our recent Enlarge Giving Program
We decided to pledge $10,000 and thought that our tax return would cover $5000 and we committed to pay weekly payments for the other $5000. We are really excited about what God is doing and can’t wait to have a huge, practical building where we can grow and make noise and make a real statement for the name of Christ in this city. Within one week, our accountant was ringing my husband at work asking to speak to him but he was busy. She chased him up the next day to tell him that an amendment had been done on LAST years tax and that we are owed $5000. We were so excited! My husband rang me immediately with the great news. Within another week, a further bonus of $7000 had been put in our account. God blessed us with $12000 when we thought we were going to be struggling to get $5000! Straight away we got our pledge cheque drawn up so that we could deliver it to the church. Honouring our pledge was so exciting knowing that we own the vision for our church and we are building God’s Kingdom in our city. God gave us what we needed and then some! Praise God!
My husband and I have been praying about what to give to the building offering. God gave me a figure that is way more than we have ever given before. The only way we could see it being met is if we sold our house. It’s been on the market since October & about 30 people have been through with no offers. Our deadline was the end of January. On the Thursday we got our 1st offer which we went back with a slightly higher figure. On the Friday we put an offer in on a house which was accepted straight away.
At church on Sunday when Keith said about the vision offering being a seed of faith & God will look at that & give back accordingly I realised that is what we have done with buying the house. On Monday our house was sold for the price we originally wanted.
The amazing part is the house we bought was so much cheaper than ours that we have enough money to give our pledge, & also buy a new car & motorbikes! Also the house we bought is exactly what we were looking for, everything we wished for in a house is there plus it’s twice the size of our current house.
We stand amazed at the exceedingly abundant blessing of God when we honour Him with our lives.
My husband does not come to church so my offering is from my salary only. I work 1 day per week so it’s not a huge amount of money but about 20% of my wage. (God told me to double my original amount) As I pledged this amount I felt God said to “test him on this”. A few days later my husband got a raise, which equates to double my giving. Last week he was offered a promotion which comes with a pay increase!
